According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 12 percent from 2014 to 2024, adding over 4 million new jobs.
IT PROGRAMS
Vantage College offers four programs in the information technology field.
NETWORK AND COMPUTER SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Network and Computer Systems Administrators organize, install, and support an organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. In our program, students gain the knowledge and skills needed by an entry level network and computer systems technician in a small Enterprise environment.

Computer Support Specialists usually work in an IT department helping staff analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate computer problems. Our program covers the diagnosis and repair of computer hardware and software problems. Students will learn to to install, upgrade, and support personal computers and associated peripheral devices in a network environment.

Computer Security Specialists plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. Our program prepares students to identify risk, participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure, application, operational and information security, apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability, and identify appropriate technologies and products.
